The theme song is the song that opens every episode of Cartoon Network's Chowder. Every time its played, there is a different dish in the oven. It was performed by all voice actors. The theme's intro has 50% of stop-motion animation.

Summary[]

The theme's intro begins with a storybook with the name of the show on its cover. It opens up to a pop-up Marzipan City, where it then zooms into Mung Daal Catering and into a view of the kitchen from inside the oven. In the oven is always a personified dish doing various actions. Through the view of the oven are the main cast doing various actions of their own.

It starts with Chowder looking through the window, hungry for the cooking dish. He begins to lick the window when Mung scolds him and chases him off before taking a peek at the dish. Afterwards, Truffles comes along and scolds Mung herself, chasing him away. Shnitzel then walks along, carrying a bowl of ingredients. Chowder comes darting his way; Shnitzel lifting the bowl out of his way as he runs by. Chowder comes back by to look at the dish before Panini appears and lovingly stares at him. When he realizes this, he runs away in fear with Panini giving chase. Mung then returns to the oven to pull the dish out.

As he brings the dish over to Truffles, Shnitzel, and Chowder, Chowder excitedly hops up and down in anticipation. Mung then lifts up the dish to reveal the title. It then cuts to a close-up of Chowder's face with credits for C.H. Greenblatt.

Lyrics[]

Mung:

You take the moon and you take the sun,
Chowder: You take everything that seems like fun.
Truffles: You stir it all up and when you're done,
Shnitzel: Radda radda radda radda radda radda.

Characters: (expect Shnitzel)

So come on in, feel free to do some looking,
Stay a while, 'cause something's always cooking!
Come on in, feel free to do some looking,
Stay a while, 'cause something's always cooking!

Yeah!
(Applause)

Trivia[]

  • During the opening title the dish in the oven is always different.
  • Shnitzel's part is translated as "You share a big piece with everyone."
  • The theme song is occasionally referenced throughout the show. For instance, in "The Meach Harvest", Mung is muttering the lyrics of the theme song to himself in an attempt to drown out the noises of Chowder's and Shnitzel's pain.
  • The lyrics "You take the moon" later became an Internet meme.
